Excessive fat and sugar intake can make your blood sticky and more prone to clot formation.Wrong foods even if eaten in small quanties can have a powerful effect on the blood.Therefore a knowledge of the right foods ,which help to thin the blood,can be your greatest weapon against cardiovascular tragedies.

Black mushrooms:-

This mushroom is also known as the tree-ear mush room.This mushroom is known to have several blood thinning compounds including adenosine.These mushrooms have potent anti-coagulant properties and keep the blood platelets from sticking together.

Garlic and Ginger:-

These are potent clogbusting foods.The compound ajoene in garlic has aspirin like activity.Take 2-3 cloves of chopped raw garlic in the morning and gulp it down with warm water.It helps dissolve blood clots and keeps the blood thin.Some of you may find garlic heaty and develop some boils on the back and chest.In that case begin with one clove and graduate to 2-3 cloves a day.

Mint and coriander juice:-

This has a cooling effect on the body.Drink a glass of this juice every day to counteract the heaty effect of garlic.Ginger also has benificial effect on blood clots.Drink some ginger tea every day or use ginger generously in your vegetables to make use of its anti-clotting properties.

Onions:-

Eating an onion a day is known to keep heart-disease at bay.To keep your blood free of clots eat half araw onion with every meal. the compounds in onions prevent the platelets from clumpng.

Flaxseeds:-

These seeds are rich in alpha linolenic acids ,which have blood thinning effect.Just as fish oils contain omega-3 fats,which helps keep a healthy heart,flaxseeds are the vegetarian source of the highly recommended omega-3 oils found in fish.These fats regulate cholesterol metabolism,improve immunity and increase energy.
Dry and grind the seeds and consume 2 tablespoons daily as a protective measure against heart disease.
